I am my own worst enemy, especially when it comes to being productive. I keep on picking up new projects.
This most recent one is a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) by the Raspberry Pi Foundation on Future Learn entitled “Teaching Programming in Primary Schools”. Now I am not a teacher, and I am not much of a programmer, however I am in museum education and I do run archaeology based workshops in schools, and I am interested in how I can use it for educational purposes.
This course is a great introduction to programming using Scratch, a visual programming language see more here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scratch_(programming_language). in easy to follow steps with some great exercises, examples, discussion and support. I am currently in week 3 of 4 and I will do a full review of the course when I am done.
This has caused a delay in the writing of my other planned articles due to a need to work, eat and sleep. Poor excuses I know.
For now, here is a small test animation from the course that I made.
